1. What new skills did you learn as part of this unit?
I learned how to make prints. I knew that you could make prints by creating a stamp before but I really didn't know how people did that. We learned that some people create them out of wood, others create them out of plastics, and rubber. You can really create a stamp out of anything. I thought it was really cool how you could stamp multiple times in different colors and create a cool effect. I never really thought about that before. I knew about almost all of the other things we learned during the unit. Below is a picture of a stamp that I made out of cardboard, glue, and staples. You can also see the stamp.

2. What project from Unit 3 did you find to be the most successful? Why?
I found my painting to be the most successful. It looks pretty good and represents the mood I was trying to set. It is calm and beautiful. The lines make the painting flow. The sun and its rays provide an extra bit of color that really make things pop. I also really enjoyed making it which is essential to success. I tend to enjoy pieces that don't require fine detail. I really like how the sky looks in the picture. It has a lot of different shades and really looks like the morning sky. It doesn't actually look anything like that in real life. One thing I wish I did better was the borders. They look kind of sloppy. I didn't really extend the strokes there.
